The environmental finisher is often limited to the edges of the arena, where the controls CAN become a problem in the heat of battle. Martial Arts, which as a kid used to be my favorite style because of all the cool flips obviously, needs a wall-kick finisher, while a Streetfighter can just throw out a haymaker at any place in the arena to end it. Each style has its own core move, or move category with which to end the fight, some being easier to pull off than others. The one problem I still see in the game is the K.O. The gameplay is absolutely sound and satisfying. That was actually the moment I connected the dots and realized that he had been a playable character in Def Jam FFNY all along. In fact, I started playing it again after learning that Prodigy of Mobb Deep died. It's so fun and over the top, and making real-life people playable characters, especially such a large cast as well, was an amazing move to get players to connect to a character right away. The premise of this game is hilarious in my opinion, and I mean that in a good way. It's the only Def Jam game I played so far. I actually started playing Def Jam: FFNY again a few days ago, and every time I pick it up again, the mechanics seem tighter than before. I am extremely glad to see some discussion about these games.
